Cash Crops: Farmers sell these crops directly in the market and return get cash, rather than using for its use Technology: Advances in technology lead people to give up farming and move to cities because the city became more advanced and gave more job offers. Borrowing Money: If they moved to the city they pay back their debt quicker than if they were farming. Corporate farms: Corporate farms were exhausting, which gave people the choice to take city jobs that were ten times better than farming. City Jobs: These jobs were much easier to do and got paid more. Plus most city jobs were inside, whilst farming was in the open. (I hope I could be of some assistance and sorry I didn't get to this sooner)
