Another Poem - "The dissapointment"

A weight heavy on my heart
A burden that I cannot part
My mistakes a constant reminder
Of all the times I couldn't be kinder

To those who expected so much
And still I failed to raise the clutch
My dreams were theirs to claim
And I couldn't live up to the same

Being the disappointment feels like a curse
As I watch my loved ones' hopes disperse
But though I may fall short again and again
I'll never forget the joy they've brought me in

For even though I've failed to meet their standards high
Their love and forgiveness never seems to die
And though I feel like I'm letting them down
Their grace is something for which I'll always be bound

So I'll keep trying and I'll keep striving
To be the person they're so divinely inspiring
For being the disappointment is not all I am
And neither is the failure that often takes my hand.

Omg. I love all of your poems, they are so good. This one feels so close to home. Because I get told I'm a disappointment every day so just to read it out in words is tough. I love this great job.
