"Broken inside"

The weight of the world on my shoulders,
A burden too heavy to bear,
The pain inside me smolders,
A fire that won't disappear.

I try to keep it hidden,
But the cracks begin to show,
The sadness that I'm ridden,
A feeling I can't outgrow.

I'm broken on the inside,
A shattered piece of glass,
My heart is open wide,
But the pain just seems to last.

I wish I could be whole again,
But the scars remain too deep,
I'll try to mend the pieces then,
And maybe someday, I'll sleep.

I've always seen myself as broken, but until I found the one person I needed, or love, I felt whole again. Before I felt like a shattered piece of glass. No way of putting it back together right? It will never be the same as it once was, but you can mend those pieces back together, and you will slowly find yourself again. And that is what that one person did for me. You just have too look on the bright side of situations. It may seem rough, but you have to be positive.
