"The real you"

You made me think that you were true,
But all along, you wore a mask or two.
A phantom, you played me like a fool,
And never stopped lying, breaking every rule.

Your deceit was constant, your words untrue,
And even when I had proof, you denied it too.
I believed your love was genuine and real,
But now I see right through you, you can't conceal.

I thought we had something special, something pure,
But your lies and deception make me feel unsure.
You used me for your own gain, for your own pleasure,
But now I know the truth, I see the real treasure.

It's not in you or your false love that I find,
But in my own strength and peace of mind.
I'll move on from your lies, from your deceit,
And find a love that's honest, a love that's sweet.

Holy Shi- this brought back memories from past relationships and that last stanza is actually how I moved on. I focused on my strength and my mind, and in the end, I found love that is genuine and honest. This is really good sis and just know you are stronger than anyone combined. You are an amazing bestie, love ya < 3
