Was wondering about the process of getting these fractions cross-multiplied :) Any help is appreciated!

Not looking for the answer, just trying to understand how the two fractions are being multiplied into one ^n^

Basically, they are multiplied in a "cross" sense. Like so:

And then set equal to each other.

It would work with any fractions.

Thank you very much! I understood that bit, just didn't know how those two fractions multiply to the x*(x+5), as there is a 2 and a -3.

Yup, just have to group whatever terms are in the denominator/numerator and multiply the entire thing by the other.
