Sadness lingers like a heavy cloud,
A weight that's hard to bear.
Tears fall like raindrops from the shroud,
As sorrow fills the air.

The heart aches with a deep despair,
The mind can't find relief.
A sense of loss that's hard to bear,
A pain that brings us grief.

Yet even in the darkest hour,
We can find a glimmer of light.
For sadness is a passing power,
And hope will soon take flight.

So let the tears fall freely now,
And know that you're not alone.
For though your heart may feel weighed down,
This sadness, too, will soon be gone.
