Luigi0210:

You could set it up as a ratio of cat owners to dog owners: \[\Large \frac{cats}{dogs}\] so: \[\Large \frac{4}{5}\] and set it equal to x/y, where x is cat owners, and y is dog owners: \[\Large \frac{500}{y}=\frac{4}{5} \] you're allowed to take the reciprocal: \[\Large \frac{y}{500}=\frac{5}{4} \] Just multiply by 500: \[\Large y=\frac{5}{4}*500\]

Arizona:

and that = 625 @luigi0210 so would that be my answer?
