Ok... Someone explain.... Why do female hyenas have that thing? Most the babies get souphocated tryna be born. What is the purpose of that, how do they even get pregnant? What is it called ☠️

Uhh if you're referring to the " Penile Cl*toris" or the "pseudo-penis" then that could be attributed to the high levels of androgen hormones (testosterone) during fetal development. It is produced by the mother, and hence gets transferred down to the offspring.

As for the purpose.. well who truly knows. Although it is useful in some aspects. It can help female hyenas establish dominance in groups they may be in (since females are typically bigger than males).
It can also confuse male hyenas during mating season and help them assert control during mating encounters. Helping to ensure successful fertilization.
