Because, thats the actual name for it but there are videos on khan academy that myself has watched in like 8th or 9th grade about that.

I also used khan academy for radicals, very informative.

To find the root of a radicand, you can use the radical symbol (√). For example, to find the square root of a number, you would use the symbol √ and the number you want to find the square root of. If you want to find the cube root, you would use the symbol 3√, and so on for higher roots.
