B3thany:

Two competing gyms each offer childcare while parents work out. Gym A charges $9.00 per hour of childcare. Gym B charges $0.75 per 5 minutes of childcare. Which comparison of the childcare costs is accurate?

OLIVER69:

Each gym charges the same because 0.75, every five minutes in an hour equals to 9.00 dollars an hour. So the answer to the question, "Which comparison of the childcare costs is accurate?", the answer is Gym A and Gym B charges the same amount.

Luigi0210:

You would need to change the $0.75/5 min rate into a $$/hour rate. So in order to do that, multiply $0.75 by 12, since 5 mins *12 would equate to 60 mins, aka an hour: \[\large $0.75*12 = $9/hr \] Thus, as Oliver stated, they are the same rate.
