Coming back

The sun burns hot, the sweat drips down
As I trudge through this blazing town
My heart is heavy, my spirit low
For I've been gone too long, you know

But now I'm back, I'm here to stay
To chase my dreams, come what may
I'll work hard, I'll push through the pain
And rise up stronger, again and again

The summer was tough, it tried my soul
But I'm still standing, I'm still whole
I'll take the lessons, I'll learn and grow
And let my light shine, for all to know

So here's to coming back, to starting anew
To chase dreams and see them through
I'll take it one step at a time, day by day
And come back stronger, in every way.
