When times are tough, and life gets rough,
It's then you see who's true.
The ones who stay and help you out,
And those who bid adieu.

The backstabbing friends, oh they're a sight,
They'll smile and then they'll lie.
They'll say they're there to help you out,
But then they'll make you cry.

It's hard to know who's genuine,
And who's just playing games?
But if you watch and listen closely,
The truth will be proclaimed.

Your real friends will always stand,
By your side through thick and thin.
They'll never leave you in the lurch,
And always have your back within.

So cherish those who love you truly,
And let go of the fake.
In the end, it's loyalty,
That's all that's left to take.
