I would definitely say your choice in Dairy Queen is a good fit. The goal they usually have set is to make money / earn a profit in which to create other locations, pay for their losses (meaning foods that have gone to waste, etc.), paying their employees, or just make money off of their business in general.
Non-profit organizations are mostly community helpers, which give back to others. Their main concern is to help others instead of relying on money for themselves / their business. They're also taxed different, have set governmental rules which they have to follow.
What are some non-profit organizations in your area? Food banks are normally non-profit since they give back to the community.
