So you have the functions g(x) = |x+3| and \(\large h(x) =\frac{1}{x+4} \) and we're looking for (g-h)(-3). Meaning, find the value of the two subtracted functions when x= -3: \[\large g(-3) =|(-3)+3| = |0| \] \[\large h(-3) = \frac{1}{(-3)+4 } = \frac{1}{1} =1\] So now, for \(\large (g-h)(-3) =(0)-(1) = -1 \)

Thanks Luigi :)
