Hey y'all here's another poem I just now finished. Hope you like it <3
-Wait-
Wish you knew the effect on your actions
And how they're slowly breaking me
I need to know
Is the love I see in your eyes genuine or skin deep?
If I'm being honest with myself, I don't know what to believe
All I know is disgust for myself now
Can't believe I didn't see
Now the real you is showing very clearly
I save the tears til the warmth of the day fades to a blanket of darkness.
There's no way to downplay this
Believe me, I wish I could
But pain like this, just isn't fake.
Using every bit of my strength trying not to break
It's not as easy as you think.
God I hate the power you have over me
How you blame me for everything
And make me feel less of who I am
What I'd give just to feel whole again
Waiting like this feels like an eternity
Don't know if I'll get free
From this captivity
So I'll just wait...
Wait til it's all over
And becomes nothing but a distant memory
