Is getting yelled at, slapped, choked, dragged by hair, and pushed down stairs abuse?

I've been punched and assaulted/beaten worse than most could ever imagine and I still go through it (: so I would know, and yes, some of it is considered abuse. Yelling, being slapped, and being pulled by the hair is not.
