Here is a lil thing I wrote for Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia (I wrote it where Todoroki is singing to his father about him and his mom):

Some scars don't fade away with time,
And I know your pride gets in the way of your mind.
And I wish that I could forget
The trauma that you caused,
The torment,
You never chose to pause.
I'm fine with being the flame you despise,
But for her, I'm cold as Ice
