kahn academy teaches you the basics of animation and it gives you the basic hands on experience in my opinion that's where id go to start its the pixar class but idk if they still have it i did it in 2020 so could be there or couldn't be there idk

practice free hand drawing the characters then try animations on flip a clip or procreate. animation is pretty easy, you can watch YT videos on hoe to animate
