I have a English project which applies to my final, and the first part is to find different people who have had some experiences related to the book, and the whole theme of this book is moments of love, trauma, and coming together so I wanted to see if y'all would like to give me your experiences to help, I would really appreciate it :>
Sure I'd love to help, but DM me because its personal stuff. :)
That's ok ty
Just so y'all know it can be a DM if necessary after all I want you guys to be comfortable enough to share your experiences.
Ok. No worries. I guess I could say it here. But basically my great great aunt passed away not too long ago. She was 98 years old. She lived in Nevada but she wanted to move to where my family lived so she could be closer to family as she got older. After transferring from care facility to care facility, where they weren't taking care of her good, my mom bought a house right across the street from us where she lived and we took care of her for a year. She was a lot of work, she had dementia and because of this, sometimes she became mean, but we still loved her. Well some of her other family members that live nearby would come and visit often and would say how well taken care of she was and how good she looked for her age. Well these people turned up being the people that would ruin my mom's life. Families sometimes take advantage of old people and only really want their money and thats how these people are. My mom and them got into a small argument about something because the lady lied and my mom called her a liar. The lady got mad and she kept to herself until one day she said she was coming to visit and she actually kidnapped my great great aunt. she said she was taking her for a day to their house, but our great great aunt never came back. During the time they had her, she broke her foot, got neumonia, and they ended up taking her back to a care facility where she passed away from covid. we were heartbroken because if she was still living with us, she would have never went through any of those things and she would have lived longer. after she died, this lady and her husband accused my mom of doing some stuff..taking my great great aunts money and some other things, things my mom never did. My mom has been fighting in a lawsuit with these people since my great great aunt passed away a year ago. This has been hard on my mom because she has had to be accused of stuff she never did and she's paid attorneys a lot of money for a bunch of stupid stuff. All we can do is keep fighting and I tell my mom everyday that she did nothing wrong and we did all we could to take care of My great great aunt.
I do it, DM Me cause I dont want the whole site to know
sorry for the long story
Damn that must so hard but ty so much for sharing
People can be so damn evil, but it just shapes up who we are yk
Yeah so true it's tough and very sad, but how can a person grow if they don't have experiences like that yk
The good thing about this is I can learn more about people and my teacher will learn more about me as well because I included my own experience as well
