The Executive Branch conducts diplomacy with other nations and the President has the power to negotiate and sign treaties, which the Senate ratifies. It consists of the president, Vice president and the cabinet. A legislature branch is an assembly with the authority to make laws for a political entity such as a country, nation or city. Laws enacted by legislatures are usually known as primary legislation. The judicial branch includes the Supreme Court and other federal courts. It evaluates laws by: Interpreting the meaning of laws. Deciding if laws violate the Constitution.
