Ambassadors are members of the QuestionCove team that will work closely with the moderators and the community to ensure that the site grows. They are knowledgeable users who have been with the site for a while and know their way around. As such, they will be able to help users out if they have questions and talk to them if they step out of line. FAQ: How long are the ambassador applications open? -The applications will be open for at least a few weeks, allowing the team to look over applications and decide who is fit to be an ambassador. But if you are interested in the role, don't delay as we will close applications without announcement. Why do I have to provide a photo ID? -The photo ID is necessary so that we can comply with the COPPA. Since if you become an ambassador you will be joining the team, we want to make sure you are at least 13 years of age. As I mentioned in the FAQ, the id is to make sure you are at least 13 years of age so that we can comply with COPPA. No one is supposed to access this website without their parent's permission if they are less than 13 years of age. We want to make sure if we're adding someone to the team and working closely with them, that they are allowed to be here.

I spoke with James. We don't feel comfortable accepting a birth date in this format as information on a screen can be easily manipulated. The last resort if you cannot find any physical ID would be your birth certificate. You can blur or cover any sensitive information on the birth certificate (such as family names or location of birth). We only need the birth date so that we have done our due diligence with regards to COPPA.

You can block out any personal or sensitive information. We only need to confirm that you are over 13 years of age. If you don't know how to block out things in an image, there are many QC users who can help you if that's the case.

In the Google form there is a email on the instructions with a email you have to send the ID to.
