If you want to give them the awnser, which I would do it a diffrent way would be saying the awnser and giving them the reasoning behind how you got the awnser.
Example: Say it was A, you could say somthing like it was A, because this, this, and this.
That would be a acceptable way to give the awnser but then they would still learn how to do the question they asked about.

and for the second question, the manufacturing process I can see would be A: forming because they are creating or fashioning the object.

In this case, I would just explain each definition, and then have them run through process of elimination.
