I meant what musical components are [mainly] part of phonk?

Aliciaa:

vocals, hip pop, and/or trap

StrikerDeFreak:

phonky beats

PureSoulless:

There are different type of phonks, like Brazilian phonk Japanese phonk and many others. I think studying them by listening to their unique melody by yourself is the best way to learn phonk.

iYuko:

There isn't a strict set of rules for creating phonk music, some common components include: 1) Southern Rap Influence 2) Lo-fi Production 3) Chopped and Screwed Vocals 4) Sampling these others as well. if you need more help just @ me

somnium:

most phonk has cowbell beats, a lot of bass, or different similar pieces cowbell tends to be more intense, with a clash-like sound (idk how else to describe it) brazilian phonk has a lot more bass and is intense there is also lullaby-like phonk, like some of nueki's songs, (so tired and aurora) and they can be musicbox-type chimes Most will have samples, like the lyrics or some tunes (polsd - close eyes, sampled from dvrst's close eyes) typically phonk has vocals as a background more than regular songs, like in metamorphosis, the lyrics fade at different points. none of this is off of google, i js rlly like phonk :/
