Zeke:

Say you kill someone, someone who deserved it, afterwards you don't feel anything. Are you a bad person, or a good person.

Comments may be spam, but this question is psychological, if you cannot see, then your insight needs to improve.

Shadow:

"someone who deserved it" is a very broad and subjective range. This could be anyone from a child rapist to you performing self defense. Each of us might be picturing someone different and that can change our responses. I think objectively though, I think a morally grounded person would at least feel bad that things did come to death. That the issue couldn't have been resolved another way (you knocked them out and they went to jail). Justice, vengeance, revenge, these are all ideas that can prey on the dark devices of the self. That's why the justice system exists, to take the darkness out of our hands and release us from that temptation. In short, partaking in death should include something that feels like something about it was wrong. That being said, 'not feeling anything' could be anything from a psychopath to an emotionally stunted individual who's processing it slowly.

Exactly what I was looking for. And no, the circumstances can be infinite, the main points were, man deserved death for what he was doing, human trafficking or child rape as you mentioned, and the fact that the one who killed said trafficker/rapist, has either psychological problems, or is having a delayed reaction.

Zeke:

And from that, is the answer I wanted, it mainly takes a side, creating a group of two, one claiming this person is good, killed someone who deserves it, other claiming it's wrong, a psycho. I wanted to see what would the majority of today's people would think, but obviously that got swept under, and an attempt at spam/leveling up

Shadow:

It doesn't have to be mutually exclusive, that the person is good or bad. One could say that the killing was good, say a man prevented a woman from being raped. But perhaps he was a psychopath, and would've killed the man anyway, but here he had a convenient opportunity to exploit social expectations. A killing can be good that it happened, but have dark undertones as well. Every person who dies has a mother and father, who likely loved them. They may also have other family and friends. Perhaps people who depended on them. They may have deserved to die, but that fact won't rectify the loss that others might feel upon their death. That alone could be something bad that results from a 'good' killing.

velmalovesshaggy145:

@zeke Same subject and assignment, W mans. Bro's on point in developmental psychology. In my opinion, If you kill someone its murder and you will go to hell for breaking the commandments and your sins. You can and can't justify it at the same time yk. It can be argued that a murder can be justified in many ways from a mental, political, emotional, time, militial, or revenge-based Jason like perspective. Also, usually the murderer and the murder-ee are associated with another knowing or unknowingly.

BeansAndRice:

i personally hate my ex but i genuinely dont think killing ur ex is worth it or even acceptable what yalls on

TheyLuhhJae:

i mean i feel like you'd be a bit psycho to not feel anything afterwords.

euphoriiic:

honestly you are a straight psycho if you feel nothing, like what you did wasn't anything special. But i'd say depending on what they did makes you a good or bad person yeah.
