So firstly is a hook is an opening statement (which is usually the first sentence) in an essay that attempts to grab the reader's attention so that they want to read on. So you want to make sure you can capture your reader's attention.

As for the question seeking retribution is like revenge, which is the urge to exact retribution for an injustice or wrong committed by another person by inflicting hurt or harm on them.

So, a nice hook could be and this is what 'I' think, "Seeking retribution is not at all productive and beneficial. It waste time and has no real point beside to make you seem just as worse.
