In the NOVA documentary Making North America, we saw evidence for the Ancestral Rockies, huge granite mountains that existed 300 million years ago. Today, all that’s left of them are the vertical slabs of sandstone near the foothills of the current Rocky Mountains. Using your knowledge of rock types and the rock cycle (pictured above), explain what must have happened to the rock that made up the Ancestral Rocky Mountains in the past 300 million years.

easy,with the help of weathering, it broke down the mountain,and after allthe ice and snow dried,it turned into some sort of waste land,ik tha ts made no since but it made since to me.
