SophiaL:

solve the coordinates: if x= -7 what is the y 5y=-2x-49

Joe348:

So everytime there's an X in the equation you plug in -7 for X. \[5y=-2(-7)-49\] Then you want to simplify your equation by multiplying and subtracting on the right side of the equation. So it would be: \[-5y=-35\] To get Y by itself, divided both sides by 5 \[-35/7=-7\] \[Y=-7\]

AnimeZodiac:

y=-5

Joe348:

Oops I mean \[-35/5=-7\]

SophiaL:

ok so i got it right

SophiaL:

-7

Joe348:

Good job (:

Joe348:

Lmk if you have any more questions!

SophiaL:
