Do you know what either of the groups were for?

the kkk was a hate group and the black codes were restrictive laws toward blacks

umm:

Well, in other words to say, both groups wanted equality. African-Americans vs Caucasian. The Black Codes did everything to keep it fair and legal, while KKK did it in spite of them and used violence.
