In the following paragraph, circle the verbal(gerund, infinitive, or participle), and then indicate if the verbal is a gerund, infinitive, or participle. Put a () around the gerund, infinitive, or participle. I'm aware what a gerund, infinitive, and participles are btw so don't tell me what they are please and thank you! Waitin, Brian stood third plate. As Alex was stepping up to bat, he knew what he had to do in order to win. The pitcher was fumbling the ball between his fingers; he loves taunting the other team. Winding up, he threw a fast one right down the middle. Instinctively, Alex wung quickly at the ball. It went flying! To score another run, Brian went charging to home plate. Winning this game was all up to him. Alex was tagged out at first, so the fielder threw the ball home. However, speeding past the catcher is what Brian does best. So, at the last second, he slid under the catcher's mitt to win the game!
