The fur coat of California sea lions can be different shades of brown due to genetic variation. Suppose that the frequency of each fur color changed in a population as shown on the graph below. Produce a hypothesis accounting for the change in light brown versus dark brown sea lions. The graph shows the percentage of sea lions with light brown and dark brown fur over a period of 10 years. The X axis indicates the year, from 2000 to 2009. The Y axis indicates the percent of the sea lion population from 0 percent to 90 percent. The percentage of sea lions with light brown fur gradually increases from 65 percent to 85 percent over the 10 year period. The percentage of sea lions with dark brown fur gradually decreases from 35 percent to 15 percent over the 10 year period. © 2016 FLVS Dark brown sea lions have become more successful at reproduction because they absorb more heat from the sun during the day. Dark brown sea lions have become less successful at reproduction because they are able to compete with other organisms for resources. Light brown sea lions have become more successful at reproduction because predators are less attracted to their light fur color. Light brown sea lions have become less successful at reproduction because they require special nutrients to maintain their fur color.

I don't know who is-

Phantomdex:

@curriful

Phantomdex:

Or if you know anyone that's online that's good at this stuff ping em ^^

curriful:

based on the chart its obvious that the light brown sea lions are better, so eliminate c and d

Phantomdex:

You mean a and b?

curriful:

yea, sorry

curriful:

d says 'less successful' so its obvious its not d

curriful:

so that leaves?

Phantomdex:

C

Phantomdex:
