What is the purpose of the tariff? It allows the government to make money on imported goods. They lower the price of goods It gives more money to the people It gives politicians money

Simply put, they increase the price of goods and services purchased from another country, making them less attractive to domestic consumers. This means they are used to restrict imports. Makes sense?
