So, remember area is width x height of any shape. So first you would do 7 x 14 which is 98. And that would be the whole shape, but you also need to account for the part of the shape that's missing. So you would do 4 x 3 which is 12 and subtract that from 98. So, 98 - 12 is 86. So 86 is your answer. i hope I could help.
