My Poem:

In the misty dawn, you faded away
Like a dream that's lost its sway
The colors of your eyes, they strayed
Into the distance, gray and gray

Your lips, once red as the rose
Now pale as the winter's frost
Your touch, it used to glow
Now it's just a distant toast

The memories of you, they linger
In the corners of my mind
Like the scent of summer flowers
That once bloomed, but now decline

You faded away, oh so slow
Leaving me with this emptiness
A hollowness that I can't show
A sorrow that I can't express
