At This point, I'm uncomfy.
Mods, We need a GOOD TALK!

Mods, I've put myself as my pfp, and that shouldn't be weird! I acknowledge, yes I AM A MINOR. And I keep getting PM's from GROWN MEN. This is a huge issue. People are coming out of their way to predatory young people, and It's making me uncomfortable, can someone else second me on this?

this should prolly be sent to the mods or put in the questioncove feedback subject, but yes i do. there has been many instances of p*dophiles popping up on here and trying to talk with minors, not just with me (i promptly blocked them) but with many others and only a few receiving punishment. they can't stay online bc they have actual jobs and their own life to worry about as well as this website, but maybe hiring mods that can cover some sort of shift for when ppl in north america are asleep (hiring people with a way different timeline) would be kinda better. qc is a sorta small website after all, they cant really afford the mods like that , or something like an ai that looks over the posts and gives people the punishment they deserve. ai probably wouldnt be the best bc it might false ban sometimes, but it is something that could PROBABLY happen with the right amount of help from others. in all, qc does have a p*do problem but it is best for us to try and help the mods + the founders catch and ban those people from the website. :3

putting ur actual face as ur pfp also gives u a higher risk of being somewhat targeted. simply making ur pfp a woman could get u targeted (i had mine as one for a week and got a TON of dms), so i suggest keeping yourself safe from things like this by not doing it as much, but it's still alright to do. rlly js keep urself safe, and try to help others become safer as well. :3

If you're getting disrespected by them, the report button exists, as well as the block button. First, I'd say that you should report the messages that they sent, and then block the user until the mods have taken further action. @sxlvergxge

- If you've already messaged a moderator about it, then there is no need for this point. Talk with them to figure things out.

- If a person is persistent, block and report them/the message sent.

- And don't send/click on VC links... that's why that rule is in place.

@sxlvergxge I'm currently reading through this post. I locked it earlier as I wasn't able to attend to it just yet. I've also moved it to the Questioncove Feedback section.

My first thoughts is that when this happens, you should block the user, report them, and if a mod is online, message them. I am not always online or at my computer, but if you reach out to me via the QC Discord, I can usually respond within the hour.

Dealing with those who prey on minors is something we take absolutely seriously, but we depend on the users informing us of these actions, as we are not omniscient (all knowing, all seeing). We cannot help you or protect you if we do not know what's going on. For example, it appears you haven't reported any of the people who have dmed you.
