urlocalgay:

Alright so first, World War II started from 1939 and ended in 1945 however, its roots can be traced back to events preceding 1939, such as the invasion of Manchuria by Japan in 1931 and the Italian invasion of Abyssinia (Ethiopia) in 1935.

gingy57016:

the Soviet union and China suffered the most 20 percent of Poland died 4,200,000 Germans died

urlocalgay:

Next, there were several factors that contributed to the outbreak of WWII, including the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I and imposed heavy reparations on Germany, the rise of totalitarian regimes in Germany, Italy, and Japan, expansionist policies, and territorial disputes.

urlocalgay:

There were also the main Allied powers. Which were the United States, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, China, and France (after its liberation from Nazi occupation of course). The Axis powers were Germany, Italy, and Japan, with several other countries aligning with them at different times.

urlocalgay:

There was a massive amount of damage caused. WWII resulted in the deaths of an estimated 70-85 million people, including civilians and military personnel. The Holocaust, the systematic genocide of six million Jews by the Nazi regime, was one of the darkest chapters of WWII.

urlocalgay:

WWII also saw significant technological advancements in warfare. This included the development and deployment of tanks, aircraft carriers, submarines, radar, jet aircraft, and, most notably, the atomic bomb.

urlocalgay:

However, WWII had far-reaching consequences, including the redrawing of national boundaries, the establishment of the United Nations, the beginning of the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union, and the acceleration of decolonization movements in Africa and Asia. There were also, prominent leaders and military officials from the Axis powers who were tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the Nuremberg and Tokyo trials.

urlocalgay:

So all in all, the memory of WWII will continue to shape global politics, societies, and cultures. Memorials, museums, and commemorations serve as constant reminders of the horrors of war and the importance of preserving peace and preventing such conflicts in the future.

urlocalgay:

DOes this help?
