Question

My Poem:
A tale of betrayal and heartache,
A story of those who play with fire,
They promised love and sweet embrace,
But left me in a world of pain and desire.

Their words were honeyed poison,
Their smiles a mask of deceit,
They stabbed me in the back with a kiss,
And left me to bleed in the street.

I gave them my heart and soul,
But they tore it to shreds and threw it away,
I thought they were my friends, my goal,
But they were just fake, a mirage in the fray.

Now I'm left to pick up the pieces,
To heal and move on, to find my way,
But the wounds they left will never cease,
The pain they caused will always stay.

So I'll rise above this heartache,
I'll find my strength and my grace,
And though they hurt me, I'll never break,
For I am stronger than their fake embrace.
