What is a relationship?
A relationship is someone coming in and picking up the pieces of the past, fixing you back together, then throwing your heart on the ground, tomping and smashing on it over and over. Using and manipulating you over and over, trying to stay calm. But then one day, you just... Can't hold it in anymore and you just SNAP and BREAK and can't handle the feeling of the world taking what is yours and just BREAKING it until you give up. A relationship? A relationship is when your drowning in self sorrow, putting a fake smile on your face EVERY SINGLE DAY, but when you get home you break and you let everything out, screaming, yelling, crying, asking for help... Knowing nobody cares. Nobody is listening. Your lonely.

Chuddest could be a bit more polite with the point he's making, but there is some version of it that I agree with.

Generally I don't think it's that important to be pursuing, or worrying, about relationships when you guys are this young.

You barely know who you are or what you want to be, and stable, long term relationships generally occur when people know who they are, what they want, their purpose in life, etc.

It's not wrong to like people and attempt at relationships, but what what I am saying is that you shouldn't necessarily be concerned that they do fail. Focus on figuring on what you actually want out of relationships and you can use the experience as a builder. But really, you probably benefit the most from figuring out what you want out of life / yourself.

Unfortunately I think many young people are attracted to (the idea) of relationships because of the dramatization of romance in media and film. Of course love conquers all...in a 1hr 20min movie. But that doesn't really carry over into real life...not exactly :p
