In my math class I got an assignment to describe what proportional and non-proportional relationships are. (8th grade level) | problem is idk what to write or how to explain it. So can anyone like give me an explain explanation of what proportional relationships and non proportional relationships are

notmeta:

if anyone doesn't understand this I can try and explain it better but I suck at it

somnium:

proportional relationships are linear, while nonproportional could be a wavy line on a graph or a function. proportionality can be shown by having the same slope between any point and any other point on the graph (slope being rise over run)
