When I first entered college I had an idea of what I would major in, but that changed over time. Going with what lines up with your interests and goals is definitely a good starting parameter. Then from there you can try out courses from other departments, filling out your free credits, and then you might find out what better suits you.

A lot of people I've met in college ended up switching their majors, so definitely put some thought into this first choice, but don't sweat it too much.
