Technically, yes.

The error as you point out is that 'men don't experience them.' Thus they don't understand and don't have to deal with it.

Obviously if men magically started experiencing periods, it would take a while for them to get a handle on it. But if any animal HAS to deal with something, eventually they will learn how to survive with it.
