For horror, I'd recommend "The Shining" by Stephen King or "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson. For poetry, try "The Sun and Her Flowers" by Rupi Kaur or "Leaves of Grass" by Walt Whitman. And for romance, perhaps "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger or "Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon.
