Aratox:

@ultrilliam, please add more ways to pay for a subscription - I'm pretty sure that many people are willing to pay for a sub, but PayPal is too restrictive (declining many physical cards that I KNOW have money on them and are NOT expired)... Please add another service such as Stripe, Apple/Google Pay, and others (this will profit you as much as it will profit us). Thank you for reading this.

Madelineee:

@ultrilliam please i need more payment options

Ultrilliam:

It's not exactly a light consideration, given the fees + probably a monthly price for using them as a payment processor. I'll consider it. Though it's the first I'm hearing of cards PayPal doesn't accept, afaik, they only don't accept gift cards

Manny300303199:

the only way i could pay is by zelle through my bank

Limitless2:

damn

@manny300303199 wrote:

That's simply not possible to add, zelle afaik is only bank to bank transfers

Limitless2:

also why doesnt using a giftcard not work

Manny300303199:

yeah why cant you use gift card

Aratox:

@limitless2 wrote:

PayPal just doesn't accept them, apparently the "bank doesn't accept the transaction" even though we've prepaid for those cards... I literally even tried a MasterCard, and that still didn't work

Ultrilliam:

Gift cards are not acceptable in most places because of the extreme amount of theft that occurs with them, so they aren't a trustworthy form of payment, so most places aren't willing to take the risk

Well, just gonna mention this - Stripe does accept gift cards

Extrinix:

There's many that allow for payment, but a few don't allow for a "subscription-based" service like PayPal does. Now, granted, he could add one-time payment methods for subscriptions, but then that would defeat the name ("subscription").

One time payment is possible with PayPal, gift subscriptions

Extrinix:

Yes, I'm talking about other services

Aratox:

I mean, it depends. If you want to have a more diverse user-base with more subscriptions than you have now, @ultrilliam, then I'd say that you should go for Stripe, otherwise, have less subscriptions on this site and potentially lose users on here due to a lack of payment methods.

Extrinix:

The main purpose isn't the subscriptions on here, as the sites f2u and not p2u. That being said, I do see your point in the limitation of people trying to buy it using other methods of payment.

Thank you for recognizing my side of the situation - I've actually tried buying a sub several times, although my cards have been declined every time. This is why I'm reaching out to Jaynator for help.

Extrinix:

What card type is it? (Visa, American Express, etc)

Which one are you referring to? I have multiple - do you want to know of my card types?

OLIVER69:

I could care less about subscriptions right now, but maybe in the future because I do have a question, "Would Cash App work?" It's very common and is as popular as PayPal, and I just gotta know.

Cash app connected to a PayPal account does.

HotPockets14:

Have you tried doing it as a donation using the donation button? :thonk: (Then I can just apply the sub to the duration you paid for) That tends to be much looser in what it accepts

Donations also utilize PayPal, and that's the service that keeps declining my card - yes, I've tried that, but it doesn't work.

HotPockets14:

is it your card maybe??

Aratox:

@hotpockets14 wrote:

The fact that I don't even have an actual "card" is why I'm asking Jaynator to add Stripe, that accepts gift cards (which I actually buy 💀). So technically, to answer your question, yes, it is my card.

yes pls, I would def buy a sub then. with my McDonalds gift card. that will work prolly :)

Good luck, the only accepted cards (by Stripe) are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, China UnionPay, and debit cards.

If Jaynator were to implement Stripe *as well* as PayPal, which is what I'm getting at, then you could use PayPal - as for Vemon, I have no clue what that is.
