New story! Romance. Description: James and Liz meet at a coffee shop. They meet right in the middle of Liz and Leo's divorce. They end up married with 3 children. By: Solar Woods<3 For: @YoungBlood
We were divorced. Why? What did I do wrong? Oh well. It’s okay. I’ll be late if I don’t hurry up. This stupid coffee line! Oh! Just as I said that, they had my order. Finally! I grabbed it and in my rush, when I turned, I ran straight into someone. Spilled my coffee. They spilled theirs. This can’t be happening, this only happens in the movies. I looked up at him. “What do you think you’re doing? I have to go! I’m definitely going to be late now!” I yelled, angrily. “Sorry. Wasn’t looking. I can drive you to buy some clothes or something, wherever you gotta go.” I looked up at him, about to yell at him for inviting a stranger into his car. Then I froze. Oh my god, he’s gorgeous. He has the prettiest dark green eyes, lovely tan skin. He has the smoothest lips and cleanest face. He had soft brown curls that drooped down onto his face. Instead of saying what I wanted, I said, “It’s okay. I’m sorry I yelled.” He nodded. “No worries. You’re very pretty. Even with coffee and whipped cream all over you.” He wasn’t very good at hiding his smile. Even I had to let out a giggle. “I would prefer to look pretty without the coffee.” “Gotta take what you can get.” I nodded, wasn’t that the truth? “Now I’ve got to walk all the way home.” “I can drive you. I’m not in a rush.” “I just met you. What if you want to kidnap me?” “After your first words? No, thanks.” I pretended to be offended. “Well, that would be nice if you don’t mind.” He showed me to his car, opening the passenger door. Such a gentleman. Leo never did that for me. “How old are you?” I looked at him, trying to decide. He’s got to be in his late teens or early twenties. “Almost 43.” I gasped out loud. “Oh my god.” He looked at me, clearly not surprised as he showed his smile. Which, for the record, was the shiniest, prettiest smile I’d ever seen. “I’m 24.” I don’t know why I said that, he didn’t ask. “I figured you were in your twenties.” “You’re twice my age.” He nodded. “Address?” “Right. Keep going straight.” I looked out the window. I always loved the views. Leo hated how I thought such an ugly, brown thing could be so beautiful. He never appreciated the beauty. “Right.” I said as we passed a landmark I was well used to by now. I’d lived here for years. Nearly my whole life. Now I was moving. I almost teared up but managed to stop myself. We eventually pulled up to my house, and I got out. “Thanks. I can make it from here, I’ll just drive to work.” He nodded and was about to pull out, but he instead pulled up again and asked for my number. I froze. What? Well, he seemed like a nice guy. I gave it to him, he pulled out and as I was inside changing I got a text. We talked for a bit. + + + + + A year later. I texted him. +Hi! Haven’t heard from you recently.+ He replied almost immediately. +Been dealing with stuff.+ +Oh. How’ve you been?+ +Been fine. You?+ +Pretty well.+ +Meet me at the coffee shop in an hour?+ +I’ll be there.+ I hadn’t moved yet. I’d managed to convince Leo to let me stay for another year. Now I’ll be moving in 3 weeks. I’d been trying so hard to deny it that I haven’t found a house to live in yet. Anyway. I decided to get dressed. I put on a light, flowy dress. It was pale blue. It was my favorite dress, made me comfortable in my body. I did my makeup and hair. Two buns on the top of my head with the rest of my hair flowing down. I loved that style. I walked to the coffee shop and immediately spotted him. Did I take that long? I sat down by him and he looked at me. “Hello.” I felt nervous with him staring at me with that straight face. “Hey.” I didn’t know what to say so I looked down at my hands in my lap. “You look beautiful.” I looked at him. His voice was so rough and oh my gosh I loved it. “Th-thank you.” I stuttered. I never stutter! The waitress brought me my favorite coffee. I didn’t order yet. I looked over at James. He wouldn’t meet my eye. “Why haven’t you talked to me? I texted you all the time and never got a reply.” He sighed. “Liz, I like you. A lot. I don’t know. I’ve never felt this way for a girl. It’s weird. I don’t know what to do. I thought if I ignored you it would go away.” I looked up at him. I couldn’t help it, I let out a giggle. That small giggle turned into an outright laugh. He looked at me like I was crazy. “I like you too, you idiot. Why do you think I dressed up so much?” He shrugged. “I don’t understand girls. I don’t even try now.” I looked at him and smiled, then reached across the table and took his hand in mine. “That’s okay.” We talked for an hour before I had to go home. He drove me and on the way, I watched the landmarks. I started to tear up when we passed one. Then started crying when we passed my favorite gas station. I’ll never pull in there again, never get gas, or talk to Larry, the clerk. Never. James immediately pulled over, then he turned to look at me. “Did I do something wrong or-” the look in his eyes hurt so much, it was a mix of pain, worry, and confusion. I shook my head but I couldn’t manage to tell him what was wrong. We were in a Dollar General parking lot. He pulled me onto his lap and I wrapped my arms around him and cried into his shoulder. Since we were right next to my house, I stayed on his lap while he drove the rest of the way. When we pulled into my driveway, he carried me inside to my bed. He sat there with my on his lap and waited quietly until I was ready to speak. When I spoke, I told him everything. How Leo abused me, how he told me how bad I was, I told him how he was making me leave, I told him everything. When I finished I didn’t look at him, I kept my head down. He stayed quiet the whole time, listening to me rant. He tilted my head up and kissed me. He had the softest, most perfect kiss ever. I looked up at him after that. He looked back at me with those eyes. I smiled. I leaned closer to him. “Thank you.” I mumbled into his chest. “For what?” He rubbed my back. “Everything.” I fell asleep on him and when I woke up I was laying, covered with my favorite blanket, alone. I sat up and looked around. Did he leave.? I barely thought the words when I heard something in the kitchen. When I got up, I was in only a slightly large t-shirt. It was his. I walked in the kitchen, stumbling a bit, and saw him. I walked over to him and laid my head against his back. He turned around and held me. I looked up and smiled as he kissed me. “Good morning, beautiful.” “Good morning.” I mumbled. “Why aren’t you laying by me?” “I was making you breakfast.” I sniffed. “Is something burning?” He quickly let go of me and ran to the stove all the time yelling cusses. “I burned the eggs!” He threw them away and put the pan in the sink. I giggled and watched him. He tried so hard to make it perfect. The effort was better than the reward I think. I grabbed his hand and pulled him back to the bedroom. “I’m tired.” I whined. He laid by me and we napped together. I awoke at lunch time, with him still asleep. I got up and went to make lunch. I was standing at the stove, stirring the pasta when I heard some quiet thumps and felt his strong arms against me. He laid his head on my shoulder and pressed his body against mine. “You left me.” His voice was so scratchy and cute. I smiled. “You’ve got to be hungry by now.” He thought for a moment then nodded. Then I felt something on my neck. I blushed. He pulled me to bed. + + + + + A month later. “Baby!” I squealed. I heard inaudible mumbles from him. I smiled. “Wake up.” He looked at me and I held out the pregnancy test. It took a moment to register, but when it did he was immediately up and holding me. He pressed his head into my neck. “I love you so much.” I smiled. “I love you too.

It's...not bad, very fast paced and in all honesty a little boring, I became disinterested within a few minutes. The description could be better as well as how the sentences are arranged.
