Subshilava:

Certain disease-causing bacteria reproduce about every 20 minutes. Some strains of such bacteria have become resistant to antibiotics that previously inhibited their growth. Over which period of time do such bacteria most likely become resistant to an antibiotic? minutes seconds years days

KingPizza:

well you can eliminate the choice that says years, because anti-biotic resistance and any other processes don't take nearly that long. Also, seconds does not make sense either, because resistance must take time, and it will take more than just seconds for bacteria to develop the processes needed to block the antibiotic

Subshilava:

So days?

KingPizza:

yes, days makes the most sense, because developing resistance is a process that involves a lot of work, so it should take more than just minutes
