Home is not just a physical place. It is a state of consciousness. When I am around all of the amazing people I call my friends, I am home. It doesn't matter where I am. I could be in the worst scenarios, but as long as I see my friends there with me, I am home.

I do not know where life will take me, and my home may change. My friend group has taken a complete 180 from what it was last year. The people I used to call my best friends are now distant memories and are decaying in my blocked folder in my phone. People grow, people change. The feeling of comfort, however, remains. The nostalgic feeling of getting ice-cream and sitting in the parking lot will never change. The colors around us brighten as I feel alive again. In a draining world, one must find the things that build foundations of their home. And when you're sitting with the people you love, remind yourself, "I am home."
