Not wanting to intrude on the energy of this post or come off wrong but uh...
If you were numb, you wouldn't write as if you were in pain still. To be numb, is to be completely feelingless. You insinuate that even though you are "emotionless, and numb that you will do anything to keep someone who isn't you safe."
Keep in mind, If you are numb..you feel nothing. How can you feel for others if you can't even feel for yourself?
I love the poem or whatever you call this piece of literature, however you could have written it differently. Although it has a good intended meaning,; the words you chose to use are misleading, and illiterate. In short words, It makes little to no sense.
I love the intended meaning you portrayed though. 
Keep up writing, no matter what anyone says to you. You have great potential.
People will do their best to hate on you. People of success don't make fun of others trying their best to be successful. Don't let little people who have no intend to do great.. hold you down.
