Would you get charged of murder or sentenced to prison, even if the person you killed was trying to kill you?

they're correct. If you were to kill someone while they were actively trying to kill you it'll be seen as self defense and you won't be charged with murder.

No you would not be charged w murder, Now if there was n vid that when u was defending urself u keep stabing or shotting while he was at the ground then yes you would be charged. cuz once the man/women hits the ground most of the time they don't get up n if u keep Stabbing shotting or wtv it was u was doing u get charged.

There’s a gray area, self defense inside of the attackers residence or property.

By law, if you’re attacked and you wind up killing another person, it’s labeled under self defense.

Now, if you end up killing someone in their own home, and blame it on self defense, you still have to be tried for murder even if you did it out of self defense, if there isn’t witnesses and not enough evidence to prove it was self defense, you might be charged for murder.

But if the evidence and witnesses are enough, you’ll be free to go on a self-defense plea.
