foxey3:

The width of a rectangle is (3u-4v) centimeters, and its length measures (10u+2v) centimeters. What expression represents the perimeter, in centimeters, of the rectangle? 1. -4+26u+4v 2. 13u-2 3. 26u-4 4. 26u-4v

qiqi:

Perimeter is the sum of all the sides. Rectangle has 2 widths (left and right) and 2 lengths (top and bottom). Mathematically: \(P= 2W + 2L\) W is given as (3u-4v) and L is given as (10u+2v) . Plug these into the formula: \(P= 2(3u-4v) + 2 (10u+2v) \) Then simplify. Please let me know if you need further assistance, but hopefully you also try it on your own to learn.
