The nurse walks to the door after checking my vitals."So where is she?" I ask, clutching my fists. She had been notified almost an hour ago and she still wasn’t here."she said she'll be here soon- give her some time" the nurse said before walking out of the hospital room i was in.
I don't know what I expected of course she would be late Just like she is to everything else The door to my room swings open and Valiry enters "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED" She screams rushing over to the side of the hospital bed
I wince her loud voice is the last thing i need right now "could you quiet down" I say looking out the window "right… right sorry" She says sitting in the chair next to my bed. we sit in silence for a few moment before she finally speaks up
"so…" she says looking over to me I turn to face her "Is there a reason you've been avoiding me?" she asks looking into my eyes i can’t help but notice the way Her eyes sparkle in the light I look away "did you come here just to ask that" i ask
"yes and no" She replies getting up to move to the other side of my bed where i was looking "But i came all this way, so could you at least give me an answer" She says softly, Grabbing my hand with an almost surprising amount of gentalness "I- I" I look away from her again God, i can't look at her for even two seconds without The memories of her body flowing into my mind so instead i look at the covers over my legs
"i just… needed some time To myself" I mumble keeping my eyes down She turns away clearing her throat "I missed you... Alot" she says shifting in her chair i glimps over at her before looking back down "We talked about this Val.." I say softer then intended she nods still not looking at me “I- I know its just..” she takes a breath before continuing "i miss us… and the way i use to feel when it was just you… and me together" she says biting her bottom lip
I sigh sitting up looking at her “Val.. last time she almost caught us.. Shes my girlfriend i can’t just leave her to be with you it isnt right.. And she hasent done anything wrong” I say looking over at her she keeps her eyes on the window. I sigh when she dosent reply for a while i move brushing my finger under her chin turning her face so shes looking at me “i love you val.. But “we” can’t keep doing this”
"sammy I-" she starts but shes no longer looking at me shes looking behind me i look over hearing Chris voice down the hall just before she rushes in walking over to me cupping my cheek observing me

“are you alright… what happened.. Are you in pain” Her questions come out fast bareilly giving my brain time to register them i glace at valiry then back to chris with a hint of a smile “i’m fine.. I was driving and car slid into mine… the crash wasnt that bad” after hearing my explanation she sighs the tension only slightly relaxing in her shoulders resting her forehead on mine “my god you had me worried” she breaths out her breath tickling across my face i close my eyes for a moment enjoying her closeness before she pulls back looking over at valiry sitting by the bed “oh… hello valiry” She says with a small smile
“i’m sorry where you two talking?” valiry opens her mouth to speak but i interrupt answering for her “no… nothing important at least” chris’s eyes flick over to me She smiles at me, her eyes softening, and kisses my forehead before moving back looking at me “alright then… i’ll be back i’m going to get you a drink” she says pressing her lips to mine for a quick kiss before moving and walking out the room
Valiry stands walking closer to my bedside “i should head out” she says avoiding looking in my eyes i sigh taking her hand “val.. I really do love you bu-” she cuts me off “I know.. I know” she says finally meeting my eyes “and i love you.. But seeing you with her hurts.. So” she leans down capturing my lips in a slow tender kiss catching me by surprise for a moment before i slowly melt into it my hand slipping up to cup her cheek
She pulls away and looks into my eyes, a small smile on her lips. I lean up and kiss her again, this time more passionately. We stay like that for a few moments, until we pull away, both of us lost in each other's eyes panting softly. She moves walking to the door glancing back at me “i’ll see you later?...” i watch her for a moment then give a small nod “later”
