Part 1, The supplies

⇢ ˗ˏˋ The time is 2:18 am 03/4/2024. The night was calm and mostly everyone was asleep.

Levi was lying silently on her bed daydreaming about the day to come when she got a text from Kaito.

“Hey, have you seen the abandoned hospital?!”

Levi's intrigued and excited replies

“No! We should check it out”

Kaito had a slight delay in replying before he texted anything.

“We should introduce our groups so they can meet!”
Levi reads the text and imagines each person meeting the other group, the possibilities should be fine so Levi shrugs and texts back

“That's a nice idea!”

Kaito smiles and they both start planning a trip to the abandoned hospital.

The next morning Levi and Kaito talked to their group and they all met up at a small store to grab supplies. Kai had their headphones on while listening to music with Leo right next to them talking to Roki who to mention was not paying attention, she was looking at a pocket knife.

As they all wait, the store doorbell rings as Kaito and his group walk in. Kenji is the first to walk in, obviously annoyed at his sister, Asami raising her voice at Akio for hitting her. Kai looks up to hear the commotion through their music. Their eyes meet Kenji and the annoyed look slowly fades away, he is still annoyed just less than before and he quickly goes to the side with his sister covering her mouth.

“I suggest you stop Ami”

Kaito and Levi hug each other in excitement as they gather each group to face each other.

Kai and Levi set them together, Leo and Asami, Roki and Akio, and lastly Kenji and Kai. Each group faces the other the tension building up. Kai breaks the silence and asks Levi.

“Are we gonna get supplies or not”

Levi chuckles and quickly introduces everyone before splitting up to get supplies for a day-long adventure. Everyone was scattered around the store looking for and getting the stuff that would be needed like food, flashlights, hand warmers, and other supplies. As Kai was looking at gloves Kenji came walking down the same ale and and decided to ‘conversate’ with Kai.

“hey.. your name is Kai, right.?”

While holding out his hand. After a sec of standing still and Kai not realizing he was there, they walked in the same direction while looking at their phone and dumped into him and fell on top of Kenji.

After a sec of realizing what happened, Kai panicked and blushed heavily and sat up and pulled Kenji by his shirt to pull him up to see if he was okay. Kenji sat up and put his hand on the back of his head hissing in pain, Kai quickly got up and ran to get an ice pack leaving Kenji alone. At that moment Kenji turned red as he was embarrassed and Kai came running back and kneeled on his side, placing the ice on his head and apologized multiple times over and over again. After a while, Kenji was staring down as he was a little confused and embarrassed and Kai ran away embarrassed. Kai ran to Leo quite literally crying over the interaction, Leo laughed but still comforted Kai. Kenji was still on the ground and noticed that Kai dropped the glove that he was holding on the ground and decided to pick it up, heading over to buy it and went to look for Asami.

Meanwhile, Levi and Kaito are looking at foods like granola bars and dried fruits and filling up a small basket and Roki walks by and decides to scare them. She slowly walks behind Kaito while holding his knife and he slowly places his hand softly on Kaitos shoulder, Kaito jumps back about to punch Roki but they dogged and chuckles softly before putting the knife away. Kaito held his chest as his heart raced and his breath heavy. Roki apologized due to the severity of the scare and walked away. Kaito watched as he walked away and tried to get rid of the offsetting feeling about him and Levi asked.

“Hey, did Roki really get you back there?”

Kaito looked at Levi trying to come up with the words.

“Is Roki always like that… with knives?”

Levi chuckled and assured that she just liked to collect knives as they continued looking at the aid kits. Kaito just shook it off, still a little nervous.
Leo and Akio are looking at the flashlights and headlamps during all the events happening and as Kai runs to Leo Akio notices Rose staring from the end of the aisle and a dark gloom radiating from him. Akio tapped Leo, trying to be gentle and get Leo's attention. Akio asked if Roki had some sort of problem with him and Leo reassured him that Roki was always like that but that did not help the fact that it gave off the feeling that Akio felt about the encounter.

The night crept in and everyone gathered together making sure they had everything needed. As everyone packed their bags and got into gear Kenji looked at the glove that Kai dropped. Levi was the first one to finish and she stood up off her knees and walked around to see if anyone needed help. 10 minutes passed and everyone was ready, they set out into the chilled air outside of the store and started walking down the street and set a trail to the abandoned hospital. Everyone was sticking together with Leo, Kai, and Kenji in the back and the more energetic one in the front. The sounds of the trees rustling and the footsteps on the pavement along with the laughter and talking filled the air and Kenji wanted to give Kai the gloves. He went over to Kai, giving them the gloves with Kai being surprised. With a blush creeping on Kai they took them and put them on and thanked Kenji. Kai walked with the gloving on enjoying the feeling and warmth of the fabric and as Kai was about to talk to Kenji they arrived at the hospital. Tall and broken down everyone looked up at it and got goosebumps. Everyone put on their headlamps and checked the phone battery before shutting off the phones. In the middle of nowhere in a hospital, the story begins.
